言與心詭，西行東坐。鯀湮洪水，佞賊為禍。
Words contradict the heart; westward talk, eastward sitting. Gun damming the floodwaters; cunning thieves bring calamity.

注释
火在水上，未濟之詐。言與心詭——口中所言與心中所想背道而馳。西行東坐——行動方向與實際位置矛盾，一切皆為偽飾。鯀湮洪水——大禹之父鯀以堵塞治水，壅堵反使水患更烈。佞賊為禍——諂佞之徒釀成大禍。鯀為錯誤方法固執推行之典型：當疏而堵，終被殛死。從未濟至家人（風自火出），火水之亂化為風出火之家道。家人要求「言有物，行有恆」。鯀之詩恰為家人之反面：言心相違、法實相離，一家之中溺於自欺之洪水。
