Sitting with blessing; storing water, guarding against fire. Thinking of danger and preparing in advance; to the end, no disaster or calamity.

與福俱坐，畜水備火——與福同在，蓄水以防火患。思患豫防，終無殃禍——居安思危，終身無禍。「思患豫防」幾乎直引《易經·既濟》象辭。備患之人能與福同坐，正因從不以福為理所當然。蓄水備火乃預見之最基本形式。從大有至節（澤上有水），天火化為水在澤上——有度之節制。節卦「制數度、議德行」——設立恰當之界限，此詩展示其實踐：身處豐盈而備水在側，從不信火不會反噬。大有之福經節制之道方能長保。
