注释
地中有山，安定自如。常德自如——恆守其德而泰然自若。安坐無尤——安然端坐，無過無咎。莘入貴鄉——自莘地而入貴顯之鄉，或指有莘氏。到老安榮——終身安寧榮耀。莘呼應伊尹所出之有莘氏：自卑微之僕升為商之賢相。從謙至損（山下有澤），懲忿窒欲。此詩體現損之悖論：減損欲望而守恆德者反獲久榮。伊尹之故事與此共振：有莘之庖人入貴門而以恆德佐治，正因無私之損己方成一世之榮。常德即損之道。
