Water breaches our village, flowing east to the sea. Turtles and ducks cry in clamor; they cannot see our home.

注释
地中有山，然洪水壞我里——大水沖毀鄉里。東流為海——洪流東去入海。龜鳧讙囂——龜鱉野鴨在原址喧鬧嬉戲。不睹我家——家園已不可見。徹底之流離：家被水淹，水族取代人居。從謙至萃（澤上於地），君子以除戎器戒不虞。此詩揭示為何防備不可或缺：水之匯聚若非滋養而是淹沒，便沖走一切熟悉之物。謙之大地本應穩持其山，此處反被淹沒。萃卦「戒不虞」之訓在被淹之村落的廢墟中迴盪。
