Six in the third place means: If one clings to the strong man, One loses the little boy. Through following one finds what one seeks. It furthers one to remain persevering.

九四 隨有獲。貞凶。有孚在道以明。何咎。
Nine in the fourth place means: Following creates success. Perseverance brings misfortune. To go one's way with sincerity brings clarity. How could there be blame in this?

Widowed young, dwelling alone in solitude; roosters crow, dogs bark, but no one dares ask after her. My fate has been unkind -- alone I endure cold and hardship.

澤中有雷，當年早寡，獨立孤居。雞鳴犬吠圍繞荒寂之宅院，無敢問諸——無人敢來探問。我生不遇，獨離寒苦。此詩為赤裸之哀歌——無典故可柔化為命運所棄之女子的畫像，家宅只剩獸聲與人間之沉默。從隨至既濟（水在火上），水火各居其位，萬事歸定。苦澀之反諷：寡婦之世界以最壞之意義「完成」——每一要素之喪失凝結為終局。此處之「濟」非圓滿，乃悲傷之結晶。
