憑河登山，道路阻難，求事少便。
Fording the river, climbing the mountain; the road is blocked and difficult. One’s endeavors find little ease.

注释
地勢坤，厚德載物。憑河登山，道路阻難——涉河攀山，道路艱險。求事少便——做事難得順利。地中生木，升之象：君子以順德，積小以高大。升者，漸進上升，非一蹴而就。此詩寫升之艱辛：河要涉、山要登，步步皆阻。然升之道本非坦途——木從地中生長，必須破土而出。從坤至升，平坦之大地化為需要攀越之高度。坤之水平擴展至此化為垂直上升之挑戰。升之要義在順德積小——縱道路阻難，一步一步終至高大。
