Millet and grain, rich and mellow, reverently offered to the mountain ancestor. The spirits savor the food and drink; sweet rain descends in blessing -- alone we receive heaven favor, and seasonal disasters do not come.

風行地上，觀虔誠祭祀獲天回應。黍稷醇醲，敬奉山宗。神嗜飲食，甘雨嘉降——神靈享祭，降甘霖以報。獨蒙福力，時災不至。詩呈人誠與天報之理想契約：禮行於誠則天應以和。水洊至，坎之象，險中有誠。從觀至坎，虔觀者得渡險境：他人遇險之處，誠心祭祀者安然通過，為水所護而非所害。
