電雷噬嗑,明罰之卦。陽城太室——陽城為古地名,太室即嵩山太室峰,五嶽之中嶽。神明所息——神靈安居之所。仁智之居,獨無兵革——仁者智者之居,唯此無刀兵。嵩山太室為天地之中軸,漢代太室闕銘「中岳太室陽城」。從噬嗑至井(木上有水),水養於木上。聖山化為不竭之智泉:德根之深處,暴力不能及。井之象在此:取之不竭,養之無盡。
