電雷噬嗑，明罰之卦。陽城太室——陽城為古地名，太室即嵩山太室峰，五嶽之中嶽。神明所息——神靈安居之所。仁智之居，獨無兵革——仁者智者之居，唯此無刀兵。嵩山太室為天地之中軸，漢代太室闕銘「中岳太室陽城」。從噬嗑至井（木上有水），水養於木上。聖山化為不竭之智泉：德根之深處，暴力不能及。井之象在此：取之不竭，養之無盡。
