From a humble gate comes nobility; plain cloth is exchanged for brocade. In the old lane, former neighbors clasp hands in recognition.

注释
山附於地為剝，天下雷行為無妄。原詩「東鄰嫁女，為王妃后」——東邊鄰家之女出嫁，成為王妃或王后。「莊公築館，以尊王母」——魯莊公建館舍尊奉王母。「歸于京師，季姜悅喜」——歸於京城，季姜歡喜。卑微之女升為至尊，非出謀略而合天意。從剝至無妄，山之剝蝕清除人為之造作，天下雷行自然而動。無妄者，不期而至之正道。此詩中鄰女之飛升非因算計，而因天命之流轉——「先王以茂對時育萬物」，順天時而萬物各得其所。
