注释
山附於地為剝，地中有水為師。蹇驢不才，駿驥失時——劣驢無用，良馬失其時機。罷於沙丘，筋力勞盡——兩者皆在沙丘耗竭而倒。「沙丘」為歷史重地：秦始皇巡遊崩於沙丘，商紂亦築沙丘苑臺行荒淫之事。詩以二獸——一劣一良——同敗於一地，寓意深切：才與不才皆無分別，時機已失則力竭必亡。從剝至師，山崩之後需以紀律整合眾力，然此詩中良驥與蹇驢俱疲，師之「容民畜眾」無從施展。
