注释
山附於地為剝,地中有水為師。蹇驢不才,駿驥失時——劣驢無用,良馬失其時機。罷於沙丘,筋力勞盡——兩者皆在沙丘耗竭而倒。「沙丘」為歷史重地:秦始皇巡遊崩於沙丘,商紂亦築沙丘苑臺行荒淫之事。詩以二獸——一劣一良——同敗於一地,寓意深切:才與不才皆無分別,時機已失則力竭必亡。從剝至師,山崩之後需以紀律整合眾力,然此詩中良驥與蹇驢俱疲,師之「容民畜眾」無從施展。
