上火下澤，睽之象，二體相違而各趨其極。被服文衣而遊觀酒池，此即商紂酒池肉林之景：堂上觥籌交錯，喜呼為兄，然歡愉之下暗伏憂亡之兆。宴飲之樂不過粉飾太平，縱欲之歡終為傾覆之因。從睽至乾（天行健），天道自強不息：唯識破虛偽之歡、拒絕沉溺之誘，方能奮然振作，以剛健之德重立綱紀。對立之勢化為自我革新之動力，此即睽變乾之深意。
