At the gate of the Six Arts, benevolence and righteousness abide. The hoe meets its season; Yao and Shun are sovereign. But cold and fever strike, and one descends to the Yellow Springs.

山上有水，蹇之象。六藝之門，仁義俱存——禮樂射御書數之學，文明之門洞開。鎡基逢時，堯舜為君——農人持鋤亦可遇聖世。然筆鋒驟轉：傷寒熱溫，惡疾纏身，下至黃泉，死入九幽。至高之理想與至慘之命運並陳而無調和。從蹇至否，天地不交，萬物不通。六藝之智仍在，然天地阻隔之際，賢者亦不免病亡。否為蹇之極致——非僅路阻，乃天地斷裂，道德修為無法阻止肉身之毀滅。
