山上有水，蹇之象。欲飛不能——渴望飛翔卻無力展翅。志苦心勞——壯志未酬，心神俱疲。福不我求——福祉不肯降臨。三短句概括一生之抱負落空。不能飛者非被囚，而是力不從心；阻礙既在外亦在內。從蹇至明夷，明入地中，用晦而明。亮光沉入地下。變化加深了苦痛：飛之渴望遭遇的不僅是阻擋，更是主動之壓制。光被迫入土，欲翔之志被山之重壓碾壓。然明夷之道：以晦養明，藏光以存身。
