山下出泉，蒙之象也。冬生不華——生不逢時，冬日萌芽而無花可開。老女無家——年邁之女無人收容。霜冷蓬室，更為枯株——霜侵蓬戶，殘室化為枯木。所有意象皆為荒涼之疊加：時令不對，年華已逝，棲身之所亦朽。從蒙至兌，麗澤：兌者，朋友講習，喜悅相映。然此人被排斥於一切溫暖之外。歡樂在某處存在，但不在這裡。霜中之老嫗是對「悅」之反面書寫——提醒我們，喜悅從非普遍，總有人在寒夜中獨對枯株。
