注释
地中生木，升之象也。白鹿鳴呦，呼集老幼，喜於茂草，悅我君子。此用《詩經·小雅·鹿鳴》之意：嘉賓宴飲，和樂融融，主賓相悅。白鹿為祥瑞之獸，出則天下將興，群鹿聚而草茂，象徵德澤所至萬物蕃息。從升至乾（天行健），地中之木緩緩上行，終達純陽自強之境。積小以高大之長年功夫，化為天行健、自強不息之動能——有根之成長化為不待外助之自生力量，此升之極致也。
