Sun and moon tarry not; Chong'er hastens from lodging to lodging. Roaming through Yan, entering Qin; he becomes hegemon of Jin.

注释
地中生木，升之象。日月不居，重耳趍舍——歲月不停留，重耳奔走於列國客舍之間，無一日安歇。遊燕入秦，晉國是霸——歷經燕、秦等諸國流亡，終歸晉而成春秋霸主。晉公子重耳流亡十九年，歷狄、齊、曹、宋、楚、秦，前636年秦穆公助其復國即位，是為晉文公。山上有澤為咸（君子以虛受人），虛心感通之象。從升至咸，漫長流亡中積蓄之人脈與閱歷終能感動諸侯、撼動天下。重耳之十九年放逐非虛度，而為聯盟、韌性與政治智慧之緩緩累積。積小以高大，正合此義。
