日就月將，昭明有功。靈臺歡賞，膠鼓作人。
Day by day advancing, month by month progressing; shining brightly with achievement. At the Lingtai they rejoice and admire; drums resound, stirring all the people.

注释
地中生木，升之象。日就月將，昭明有功——日有所進、月有所成，功業昭著而光明可見。靈臺歡賞，膠鼓作人——於靈臺歡慶賞觀，以膠鼓之聲振奮激勵人心。靈臺為文王所建之臺觀，《詩經·大雅·靈臺》頌之：「經始靈臺，經之營之，庶民攻之，不日成之。」王德之建築化表現，臣民同樂同建。澤上有水為節（君子以制數度、議德行），以度數節制之象。從升至節，有機之升以結構與節制而成其形——靈臺之鼓為集體歡樂設節拍與界限。無限之長終成亂，有度之升方成文明之體。
