木上有水，井養須節制，濫用則終耗盡。鄭會細柳——鄭國於細柳之地會盟宴飲，國亂失頃——政局動蕩失序。然弘明早見——智者目光敏銳，早已洞察宴樂下暗藏危機。止樂不聽——毅然止住歌舞。從井至損（山下有澤），損為抑制慾望、裁減過度之道。井之資源耗於宴樂，必須以損卦之紀律裁制。止樂者正體現損之自覺節制：寧可減損歡娛，不可放任傾覆。
