雲上於天，需之蓄養。楚靈暴虐，罷極民力——楚靈王大興土木建章華臺，窮奢極欲。禍起乾溪——靈王駐軍乾溪時，其弟公子棄疾發動政變，入郢殺靈王二子。靈王眾叛親離，扶杖奔逃，身死亥室——流亡中無人收留，終縊死於申亥之家。暴君之覆滅反為更新之契機。從需至泰（天地交），等待化為天地相交之通泰：真正的上下交融，須先除去阻塞其間之障礙。靈王之亡，正是否極泰來之轉折。
