Six in the second place means: Shock comes bringing danger. A hundred thousand times You lose your treasures And must climb the nine hills. Do not go in pursuit of them. After seven days you will get them back again.

One stem tangled nine times, pulling and binding each to each. Dawn and dusk bowing and rising, unable to go east or west. Offerings presented as repayment due; at midday, punishment falls.

注释
洊雷震動，地中有水為師。一莖九纏，更相牽攣——牽絲攀藤，動輒得咎。宿明俯仰，無法東西——日夜周旋，無處可去。請獻當報，日中被刑——進貢求回報，反在正午受罰。「日中被刑」或暗合古制午時行刑之俗。此詩寫全然受縛之困。從震至師（地中有水），紛亂之糾纏化為軍律之約束。容民畜眾之道，在於以秩序統攝混亂，然個人自由亦因此而犧牲。
