A deer eats mountain grass, giving no thought to the town. Though it lingers long, no harm comes.

注释
雷電皆至為豐，鹿食山草，不思邑里，雖久無咎。鹿安於山林之間，食草自足，不慕人間城邑之繁華。久居山野而無災咎——遠離誘惑即遠離危險。從豐至萃，澤上於地之象：萃為聚集之卦，君子以除戎器戒不虞。然詩中之鹿不聚而獨處，以不趨聚為安。萃之智有時在於知道何時不該聚——鹿之無咎恰在其不入邑里，不被繁華之聚所惑而自得其樂。
