水在火上，既濟之序。然鬭龍股折——雙龍相搏，折斷股骨。日遂不明——陽光因之黯淡，正統蒙塵。自外為主——外人反客為主，弟伐其兄——弟弒其兄，倫常顛倒。龍鬭為王室內亂之凶兆，日暗示正統權威喪失。從既濟至同人（天與火），完成之序化為天火同明之象——本應團結之光，卻照亮手足相殘。同人之道在類族辨物、求同存異；此詩反其意：完成之局催生爭奪，共同之遺產化為兄弟之兵器。
