水在火上，既濟之成。望幸不到——期盼君王臨幸，終不至。文章未成——文辭未竟。王子逐兔——王子追逐野兔。犬踦不得——獵犬跛行而不能獲。一切追求皆落空：恩幸不來，文章未完，獵犬絆足。從既濟至坎（水洊至），完成之序墜入重重險水。既濟本應有成，反而事事差一步。坎之教誡在於險中守信，然詩中只見不斷加深之挫敗——一個萬事將成而終未成之世界。
