水在火上，既濟之成。三雁俱飛——三隻大雁結伴而飛。欲歸稻池——目標是稻田之池。先涉雚澤——途中先經蘆葦沼澤。為矢所射——遭箭矢射中。傷我胸臆——傷及胸膛。雁群從希望之飛到伏擊之中：終點清晰，路途看似安全，然中間地帶暗藏殺機。從既濟至夬（澤上於天），完成之序化為澤水升天之夬——決然突破。然此詩示突破之險面：雁衝出安全區而入險地。由既濟推進至新境者，須知新舊之間的空隙正是箭矢紛飛之處。
