Nine in the third place means: The Illustrious Ancestor Disciplines the Devil's Country. After three years he conquers it. Inferior people must not be employed.

Six at the top means: He gets his head in the water. Danger.

Taking up axe to split firewood, sending a matchmaker to seek a bride. The two surnames join in harmony; the groom attends her for a moment. Her beauty rivals Mao Qiang; mother-in-law is pleased, father-in-law delighted.

水在火上，既濟之成。執斧破薪——持斧劈柴，備家務之需。使媒求婦——遣媒人求親。好合二姓——兩姓相合，門當戶對。親御斯須——新婚之禮，須臾相親。色比毛嬙——容色堪比毛嬙（春秋時之美女）。姑悅公喜——公婆皆歡喜。循漢代婚姻之序：劈薪、媒聘、合姓、行禮。從既濟至中孚（澤上有風），完成之序化為風在澤上之中孚——中心之誠向外輻射。既濟之人於婚姻之互信中找到最深之真實，虛心以受，兩相成全。
