火在水上，未濟之待。曳綸河海——於大水中垂釣。掛釣魴鯉——鈎得魴魚鯉魚，滿載而歸。王孫利德——貴族以德行獲利。以享仲友——以盛宴饗待至交。垂釣之象既為實景亦為政治隱喻——大水求魚如求賢納士，宴友則示恩信相結。從未濟至豫（雷出地奮），水畔之靜候化為雷動地奮之歡。豫為先王作樂崇德之卦——魚已獲，宴已設，眾人因共享之豐足而振奮。耐心等待終化為集體之喜悅。
