地中有水,師之象。子畏於匡——孔子被匡人圍困,因貌似陽虎遭誤認。厄困陳蔡——又困於陳蔡之間,絕糧七日。德行不危,竟脫厄害——德行不搖,終脫險境。直引孔子兩大困厄:匡之圍,孔子曰「天之未喪斯文也」;陳蔡之厄,弟子慍怒而夫子弦歌不輟。從師至鼎(木上有火),火在風上,將生材化為文明之養。聖人之德是精煉苦難為千古教化之火。
