地上有水，比也。然鉛刀攻玉，堅不可得——鉛刃攻玉，石堅而刀軟，全然不配。盡我筋力，胝蠒為候——竭盡氣力，手生老繭厚趼，仍待不可及之成果。鉛刀攻玉為古典文學中典型之錯配——卑微之才面對不可能之標準。從比至大過（澤滅木），澤水淹沒林木，負荷壓垮承受之結構。比之聯盟雖有支撐，大過警示某些重擔非群力所能勝。詩意非勸放棄，而示須認清工具之極限。
