風行天上，化為水在火上之既濟。慈母撫赤子以恩，饗賜得士以禮——以豐厚待遇延攬賢才，人心歸附。夷狄服從臣順，王家由此安寧。從小畜至既濟，詩呈既濟之理想：萬事各得其位，內外和諧。母子之情為關懷之原型；宴賜得人為治道之正軌；夷狄臣服為邊防之完固——三者合為全局之圓成。水在火上，鼎沸恆溫——一切運轉有序。然既濟之戒在「思患而豫防之」——如此完美恰為變化將起之前兆，不可懈怠。
