Alone and solitary, with no companion. The body toils daily, yet plants the five grains; yin and yang follow their proper order.

注释
地勢坤，厚德載物。孤獨特處，莫與為旅——獨自一人，無伴同行。身日勞苦，使布五谷——日日辛勞，播種五穀。陰陽順序——陰陽各循其序。天下有風，姤之象：后以施命誥四方。姤者，遇也，一陰自下而遇五陽。此詩寫孤耕之人：獨處無伴而勤勞不輟，五穀播種，陰陽有序。從坤至姤，大地之孤寂勞作終將遇合天之回應。姤之相遇非刻意求之，乃勤勉耕耘後自然而至。坤之農夫守其土、順其時，天風自來相遇，此即不期而遇之道。
