縮緒亂絲，手與為哭。越畝逐兔，斷其襌襦。
Winding thread, tangled silk; hands join in it and weep. Crossing furrows to chase a hare; tearing one's unlined robe.

注释
天下有山，遯之象。縮緒亂絲，手與為哭——收縮絲線卻愈纏愈亂，急得雙手發愁。越畝逐兔，斷其襌襦——跨越田畝追逐野兔，撕破了單衣。兩幅場景皆為徒勞之象：理絲不成而更亂，追兔不得而損衣。從遯至泰（天地交），退避之勢本應化為天地交通之太平。然此詩寫退避後之人急於重建秩序，反而手忙腳亂。泰之安需從容而至，操之過急則絲愈亂、衣愈破。退而後急進，不如退而後從容。
