The old river is hollow and empty; the ancient well holds no fish. Profit gained is not generous; fleeing trouble to the eastern neighbor — disaster enters my gate, leaving me in regret.

注释
天下有山，遯之象。老河虛空——老河枯竭。舊井無魚——古井無魚。利得不饒——所得不豐。避患東鄰——躲避禍患投靠東鄰。禍入我門——禍害反進自家門。使我悔存——令我後悔活著。一切資源皆枯。從遯至井（木上有水），退避本應化為深井之滋養，然井已枯竭。避禍東鄰而禍入己門——井不可移，問題之根源不因退避而改變。退而不觸根本，逃到哪裏禍就跟到哪裏。
