注释
山下出泉，蒙之象也。黃玉溫厚，君子所佩——玉之德在溫潤而不耀。甘露降於溽暑，萬物因之茂盛。黃玉象徵內德外顯，溫而有光；甘露為天降之瑞，應於人主之德。從蒙至觀，風行地上：觀者，先王省方觀民設教之象。蒙昧者若能涵養溫厚如玉之德，不待張揚，天下自然仰觀而化。如甘露之降，非人力所致，乃德行自然流露之效。教化始於自身之修養，非始於言說。
