Nine in the fourth place means: There is no skin on his thighs, And walking comes hard. If a man were to let himself be led like a sheep, Remorse would disappear. But if these words are heard They will not be believed.
第五爻
九五 莧陸夬夬。中行无咎。
Nine in the fifth place means: In dealing with weeds, Firm resolution is necessary. Walking in the middle Remains free of blame.

The sun sinks half a pole-height and it is dusk. Frost kills every grass, leaving no root. Ice seals the land — not a sign of life; only the north wind makes a weeping sound.

注释
澤上於天，埋入明入地中之明夷。原詩：「長夜短日，陰為陽賊；萬物空枯，藏於北陸。」冬至之至暗——日最短、夜最長、陰侵吞陽。萬物枯竭，退隱於北方寒冥之中。從夬至明夷，逐暗之果決完全逆轉。曾高懸天上之明光今沉入地下，傷而匿之。詩寫全幅弧線：本在天上之澤今葬入地中。然明夷亦有用晦而明之智——賢者隱其光華以求存，深知冬至終將回轉。
