注释
澤無水，困之象也。國將有事，狐嘈向城，三日悲鳴不止，邑主大驚。狐狸朝城嗥叫為古代極凶之兆，預示入侵或內亂，三日不止更顯警告之嚴重。從困至兌（麗澤兌），君子以朋友講習。兌應為歡聚之象，然此詩反轉其意：唯一之聲是狐之悲號，唯一之聚是凶兆之匯。當歡樂缺席，其空殼化為警告。能聽懂狐鳴之君主，或可及時行動以避大禍。
