注释
木上有水，井不遷而人往來，守其位待有道者汲之。「自衛歸魯，時不我與」——孔子周遊十四年後歸魯之嘆。約前四八四年，孔子自衛返魯，然政治抱負終未實現。冰炭異室——仁道與濁世不可相容。仁道隔塞。從井至旅（山上有火），火在山上，照而不定。旅人之火照亮前路而不成爐灶——光明在而居所無，此孔子晚年之寫照也。
