雲上於天，需之養也。螟蟲為賊，害我五穀——螟蛉蟲害如盜賊侵入，毀壞五穀。簞食空虛，家無所食——食器空空，家中斷炊。蟲災毀穀，最直接之饑荒。古人視蟲害為天意——上天收回恩澤，則蟲蝗蔓延，吞噬本應養人之物。從需至明夷（明入地中），等待之雲不化為雨而化為蟲害之溫床。光明沉入地下，能滋養者反被蠶食殆盡——明夷之暗，即農人眼前一片漆黑之絕望。
