The autumn wind summons thieves, calling outlaws from without. Spies respond from within, joining battle against me. The treasures exhausted and gone, the master cannot prevail.

注释
水在火上，既濟之序。商風召寇——秋風（商風主西方、主刑殺）引來外寇。來呼外盜——招致外敵。間諜內應——內有間諜裏應外合。與我爭鬭——與我交戰。殫已寶藏——寶藏耗盡。主人不勝——主人不敵。內外夾攻、裏應外合之劫：外敵利用內奸，洗劫一空。從既濟至井（木上有水），完成之序化為汲水之井。然此詩反井之義：井本滋養眾人，此處供養之渠道被敵人利用而抽乾。忠信一失，既濟之通道即為掠奪之管路。
