舜升大禹，石夷之野。徵詣王庭，並治水土。舜以至信任命大禹，此即中孚之典範：信而託之以天下至艱之事。禹治水十三年，三過家門而不入，以行動回報君王之信任。乾至中孚，澤上有風，中孚之象也。君子以議獄緩死。風拂澤面，至誠感通——中孚之信可及豚魚。此詩寫信任之授受：君以信任人，臣以信報君。禹之受命即信之試煉，治水之成即信之兌現。從乾之創生至中孚之至信，天命化為風與澤之相感，無力之迫而有誠之通。
