The great king governs; the harvest is rich, the people prosperous. The state has plenty; the ruler has cause for joy.

注释
天與火同人，賢君執政結出實果。大王執政——明主秉國；歲熟民富——五穀豐登，百姓殷實。國家豐有，主者有喜——國庫充盈，君主欣悅。此詩直述樂觀，無典故、無曲折，純粹善政生豐年之景。從同人至明夷（明入地中），添一層隱憂。明夷君子以蒞眾，用晦而明——光明沒入地下。此詩所寫之繁榮恰在明暗交界——其光亮本身即招引陰影。智者預見此理，斂光藏明而目力不減。
