注释
明兩作離，火入火在水上之未濟。虎狼之鄉——虎狼橫行之地，弱肉強食。日爭凶訟——日日爭訟，兇暴不止。叨爾為長——僥倖被推為首領。不能定從——卻無法安定追隨者。離卦六十四首之末歸於未濟——《易經》最後一卦，未完成之象。火在水上而不相濟，如小狐幾渡而濡尾。從離至未濟，慎辨物居方：被授以虎狼之鄉的領導權，然火之光照水面而不入水底。照見亂象卻無力收拾，此為光明之極限——明而不能濟，見而不能治，一切仍在未完成之中。
