Nine at the beginning means: Power in the toes. Continuing brings misfortune. This is certainly true.

九二 貞吉。
Nine in the second place means: Perseverance brings good fortune.
第四爻
九四 貞吉。悔亡。藩決不羸。壯于大輿之輹。
Nine in the fourth place means: Perseverance brings good fortune. Remorse disappears. The hedge opens; there is no entanglement. Power depends upon the axle of a big cart.

焦氏易林
驄𩦞黑𩭳，東歸高鄉，白虎推輪，蒼龍把衡，遂至夷傷，不離咎殃。
A dappled horse with black mane gallops east toward the highland. White Tiger pushes the wheel; Azure Dragon grasps the crossbar. At last they meet with wound and ruin; they do not escape calamity.

雷在天上，驄馬黑鬃東歸高鄉，白虎推輪，蒼龍把衡——四象之二並駕一車，天地之力盡為驅使。然場面雖壯，結局卻是夷傷咎殃。從大壯至謙，地中有山：山之高大隱於地下，不自顯露。此詩恰為反面——以天象級之排場行事，力量與場合不相匹配，張揚過度反招禍患。壯力之極須知收斂，此即謙卦之深意。
