澤中有火，革之象也。岐周海隅，獨樂不憂。可以避難，全身保才。山上有雷，小過之象也。岐為周之故地，海隅為天涯之角。於此遠方邊陲獨享安樂，無憂無慮，避禍全身，保全才能。小過之鳥不宜上而宜下——應低飛以求安穩。從革至小過，變革之後求存之道在於退居邊緣、保持低調。風暴核心最為危險，而遠方邊角反成避難之所。身小過而心不過，方能全身保才。
