The dog fears wolf and tiger; relying on men, it finds protection. Three warriors hold their halberds; the beasts crouch and dare not rise. Body safe, without mishap.

火在水上，未濟之弱。犬畏狼虎——小犬懼怕猛獸。依人有輔——依附人力方得庇護。三夫執戟——三名武士持戟而立，伏不敢起——敵寇伏地不敢妄動。身安无咎——最終安然無恙。弱者不以己力抗強，而以依附求存——結盟之寓言。從未濟至隨（澤中有雷），火水之散化為雷入澤中之順從。隨之象為嚮晦入宴息——知進退、識時務。犬不與虎鬥，而隨人而行。此處之力不在對抗，在知所從。
