伊尹智士，去桀耕野——伊尹為明智之臣，離棄夏桀暴君而往野外耕作。此即伊尹自有莘負鼎至輔湯伐桀之著名故事。執順以強，文和無咎——以柔順自持而內蘊剛強，文德和洽而無過咎。從無妄至小過（山上有雷），變化捕捉在卑微之事上略為超越的智慧。小過雷在山上，小鳥飛翔之象，行過乎恭。伊尹之耕作恰如此：大人物行卑微之事，蓄德以待正當歸來之時。
