焦氏易林
驕胡犬形，造惡作凶。无所能成，還自滅身。
Fierce flames burn the forest — the fire scorches itself. The venomous snake bites its own tail — the tail chars first. Forging a sword to harm all travelers — the blade snaps back and pierces his own waist.

注释
地中生木，升之象。此為改寫詩，取原詩「驕胡犬形，造惡作凶。無所能成，還自滅身」為據——驕悍如犬形之胡人，作惡行凶，殘暴肆虐，終一事無成，反自取滅亡。「驕胡」為北方蠻族之形象，凶殘外向而禍根在內。明入地中為明夷（君子以蒞眾，用晦而明），光明被埋入地下之象。從升至明夷，上升之勢被壓入幽暗——以暴力崛起者，其殘暴終將吞噬自身之光明。非外力所阻，而是破壞之極致必然反噬。升而為暴，暴而自焚，還自滅身即升之自毀。
