鶴盜我珠，逃於東都；懷怒追求，郭氏之墟。不見蹤跡，使伯心憂。
A crane stole my pearl and fled to the eastern capital; in angry pursuit I sought it, through the ruins of the Guo clan. No trace was found -- it makes the elder heart grieve.

注释
雷出地奮，然鶴盜珠而逃於東都——仙禽竊寶，遁入東方之城。主人懷怒追求，至郭氏之墟——昔日望族之廢墟，然不見蹤跡，使伯心憂。鶴為清雅之鳥，此處反為竊者之象；郭氏之墟暗示昔盛今衰之地，於荒墟中尋寶，益見無望。從豫至明夷（明入地中），光明沒入地下而隱。被盜之珠——一點晶瑩之光——消失於幽暗之中。追者之怒終化為不可挽回之悲，此即明夷之義：光在而不可見，尋而不可得。
