注释
地中生木，升之象。日中明德，盛興兩國——明德如日正中天，兩國因之而大興。仁聖會遇，君受其福，臣多榮祿——仁者聖者相會，君主受福，臣下榮顯。「兩國」可解為文王之文德與武王之武功相合，亦可指盟邦互補共興。上天下澤為履（君子以辯上下、定民志），上下有序、各安其位之象。從升至履，有機之上升化為禮儀秩序之確立——積小高大之功成於分明有序之世。升之木已成棟梁之材，行於正道而不踰矩，此乃升之成熟也。
